Lee Suet-ying: Reclaiming Little Things

Reclaiming Little Things is a non-solo exhibition by the Hong Kong artist Lee Suet-ying in association with John Aiken, Ho Siu-kee and Jaffa Lam, which features Hong Kong female artists collaborate with nine artists from different disciplines and generations at three unique Hong Kong locations.

In the exhibition, the artist used emotional objects to create candy-like installations and bonsai trees, emphasizing the juxtaposition of contemplative desire objects and the destructive nature of frustration. The works on display are also “souvenirs” from the past stages of her artistic practice, and respond to the three outstanding teachers of her artistic career.
