Kian Cheng and Kristy Yip – The Stoic of Sisyphus

“We are doing that thing persistently although in different way” by Sisyphus[1].

The Stoic of Sisyphus is a collaborative exhibition by 2-graduate of RMIT University Kian Cheng and Kristy Yip.

Cheng created a series of abstract paintings which is depicting the dreams and desires of people in a particular time.

Yip drew a series of a series of surrealistic dream-like stories that is reflecting her worries and horror that could be a resonance with those people who have been experiencing the same incident in everywhere.


Sisyphus has been repeatedly pushing a rock up to the top of a mountain although the rock falls in a middle way without knowing the goal will be achieved.
