Johannes Wohnseifer – Fractured Memories

Fractured Memories is the second solo exhibition at the gallery by the German artist based in Cologne Johannes Wohnseifer. In this latest exhibition, Johannes Wohnseifer reviewed his first solo exhibition in 1995 that was 25 years ago, and used it as a reference as time seems to ehave passed. This fact is like a “scandal” for the artist, and his latest series of aluminum paintings is his response to this inevitability. In the new exhibition, Wohnseifer continues to use pop art, minimalist and conceptual art language to criticize consumerism, capitalism and culture, reposition, reuse and select logos, corporate branding and design strategies to build autobiography, history, Political and fictitious data.
