Dynamic Vision

Dynamic Visions is a selection of 38 artworks to discuss the main trends of Op Art, Kinetic Art and Arte Programmatic. In addition to the 20th-century masters Josef Albers, Marina Apollonio, Alberto Biasi, Enrico Castellani, Dadamaino, Piero Dorazio, Michelangelo Pistoletto and Victor Vasarely.

The exhibition also highlights the influence and current affairs of their art research through dialogues with the installation PLASTIC PLOT ( 2017) Designed by contemporary artists Francesca Pasquali and Tu Sei (1973) by Alberto Biasi, pioneer of dynamic art.

In the 2017 Plastic Pot, Francesca Pasquali used recycled plastic to make a three-dimensional long wall. The fascinating optical effects of her work attract the audience and invite them to interact with them to discover hidden details. Biasi’s installation “Tu Sei (You are)” (1973) invites visitors into a dark room, and through multi-color lights and reflections, they can create visual effects as they move in the space.

Dynamic Visions was inspired by the legendary exhibition “Eyes of Responsiveness” held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1965. This was the first exhibition celebrating optical and dynamic art and Arte Programmata.
