Esprit Reveur is a new body of paintings on canvas by contemporary artist Jean David Nkot, which continues to address themes surrounding trans-African migration, in his works combine detailed portraits and complex cartographic information.
the artist mapped the senses, reality, and wanderings of all these human beings who have gone to the unknown through the dramatic situation of their homeland. He used the memory of these displaced people to produce a powerful work, full of emotion, not without poetry to pay tribute and testify to them. By facing all these exiles, he restored his dignity and reminded us that the history of the world is made of exiles, immigration, tragedy, suffering, and hope. In doing so, his paintings themselves raise some questions about our society, their ability to resolve conflicts, and their ability to face environmental and economic challenges. This artistic commitment has produced amazing paintings that put humanity at the core of his aesthetic choices.
