Zhu Jinshi: Li Baiโ€™s Snow

Li Baiโ€™s Snow is the solo exhibition by the Chinese artist Zhu Jinshi, which exhibits 25 iconic heavily layered and textured oil paintings created by the artist from 2012 to 2020, as well as a series of special small works which were specially created for this Hong Kong exhibition.

The title of the exhibition is taken from the essence of Chinese poet Li Baiโ€™s poems. The artistโ€™s paintings break the boundaries between abstract media, allowing people to interpret and understand abstract art in many ways. The viewer is invited to watch the artistโ€™s โ€œthick paintingsโ€ in various proportions, just like all of Zhuโ€™s works, people can connect them with the artistโ€™s inherent interests to create meaning from the materials.
